Jobs in your trades and within your travel distance appear in your dashboard. You can sort them by newest or nearest. You see the job details and what it costs in Job Coins. You never see the homeowner's phone number or email at this stage. We review every job before it goes live.
Show interest
One click. Up to 3 tradespeople can show interest in a job. Once a job has 3, it disappears from other tradespeople's lists, so it pays to respond quickly.
The homeowner chooses
They see a short list with each business name, experience, languages and rating (or the New badge). They pick up to 3 tradespeople to hear from. They can also choose nobody.
A homeowner picks you Job Coins used
When a homeowner picks you we take the Job Coins for that job from your balance and share contact details both ways. You then speak directly and agree the work and the price yourselves. Being picked is an introduction and not a guarantee of the job.

Job Coins
Job Coins are prepaid credits you spend when a homeowner picks you to talk to. One coin costs €1 plus IVA. Paid Job Coins are not on sale yet.

One charge per selection
A homeowner can choose up to 3 tradespeople for one job. Each tradesperson chosen pays the cost shown.

These prices apply from 26 October 2026. We estimate the value of each job and set its cost. We give at least 30 days' notice of any change. Read the full Job Coins terms.

Keep enough Job Coins to cover the jobs you show interest in. If your balance is too low when a homeowner chooses you, the choice cannot go through and you could miss the job.
Reviews
Reviews are not live yet. They open when HandySpan opens to homeowners in early 2027. This is how they will work.
- Homeowners can rate you from 1 to 5 stars once a job is finished.
- Everyone starts with a New badge. Nobody starts with a made-up score and nobody is given 5 stars by default.
- After 3 genuine reviews your average rating replaces the New badge.
- Homeowners see your rating (or the New badge) next to your business name when they choose who to hear from.
- Reviews must be honest and come from real customers. We may remove reviews that break this rule.

When does HandySpan open?
We open to homeowners in early 2027. Tradespeople on the waiting list are first in line. We email you when we launch.
Does it cost anything to join the waiting list?
No. Joining is free and you do not need to upload anything now.
When do I pay?
Only when a homeowner picks you to talk to. Showing interest is free. Being picked is an introduction and not a guarantee of the job.
What can I see before I am chosen?
The job details and what the job costs in Job Coins. The homeowner's name, phone number and email stay private until they choose you.
What do homeowners see about me?
Your business name, experience, languages and your rating or New badge. Your address is not shown to homeowners. Your phone number and email are shared only if they choose you.
How many tradespeople can show interest in one job?
Up to 3 at the moment. This limit may change.
What happens if the homeowner never chooses anyone?
Jobs stay open for 30 days. If the homeowner does not choose anyone no Job Coins are taken.
Why do you ask for my DNI, NIE or company tax number?
HandySpan is for tradespeople who work legally in Spain. Giving your DNI, NIE or company tax number is a normal thing to do in Spain and it is how we begin checking who you are. At launch we ask you to verify your identity before you can show interest in jobs. Approval means we have reviewed the details you gave us. It is not a guarantee of your skills, licences or insurance. You remain responsible for those. If you have a concern about sharing this, message us on WhatsApp and we will talk it through.
How do I choose which jobs I see?
You pick your trades and how far you will travel, from 10 km up to 150 km from the centre of your town or city. Only matching jobs appear in your dashboard.
Which languages can I add?
Spanish, English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish. Homeowners see the languages you speak when they choose. We want tradespeople who speak all European languages, so add yours when you sign up.
Can I refer another tradesperson?
Yes. Once HandySpan has launched you earn 5 free Job Coins each time a tradesperson you refer is approved and offers a trade you do not.
Do I work for HandySpan?
No. You are an independent business. You agree the work, the price and the timing directly with the homeowner. You are responsible for your own licences, insurance and taxes. There is no bidding platform and no brokered calls.
How do I leave the waiting list or close my account?
Email hello@handyspan.com. Our Terms explain what happens to any Job Coins you have left.
